The Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme is an initiative dedicated to medium-sized cities in Poland that face socio-economic challenges or require additional support for their development.

The Programme aims to strengthen the potential of Polish cities through investments in the economy, public transport, vocational education, environmental protection, healthcare, and social activation. Swiss Funds are provided in the form of non-returnable financial support.

Thanks to funding from the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme, our city is implementing a comprehensive project entitled “Our Krosno: green, enterprising and co-managed with residents’”, which aims to create a modern, welcoming, and resilient city prepared for future challenges.

The project includes a wide range of activities addressing the real needs of residents and supporting the development priorities of contemporary cities. Investments and initiatives are being carried out in areas related to environmental protection, entrepreneurship development, education, healthcare, public transport, and civic engagement.

As part of the project, Krosno plans to expand its green infrastructure, improve the quality of urban spaces, and introduce solutions that support adaptation to climate change. Another important element of the project is the development of a modern public transport system, as well as the creation of spaces that encourage social integration and community activity.

The project also provides support for local entrepreneurship, the development of skills and competencies among young people and residents, and the better alignment of education with the needs of today’s labour market. Improving access to healthcare services and initiatives supporting the well-being of residents is another key area of intervention.

One of the fundamental principles of the project is cooperation and social dialogue. Residents will have the opportunity to actively participate in consultations, events, and project activities, contributing directly to the future development of the city.

“Our Krosno: green, enterprising and co-managed with residents’” represents a long-term vision of a modern city that develops in a sustainable manner, responds to the needs of its residents, and makes full use of its social, economic, and cultural potential.
