A modern Community Activity Centre will be built next to the historic Kaczkowski Palace. It will be a space designed for residents, non-governmental organisations, senior citizens and people in need of support. The investment will be implemented as part of the project “Our Krosno – Green, Entreprising and Co-managed with Residents”.

Preparations for the construction of the Community Activity Centre in Krosno are entering the next stage. In the tender procedure, the most advantageous offer was submitted by Texom. Its value amounts to PLN 6,303,821, while PLN 6,515,721 had been allocated for the implementation of the contract. Five contractors took part in the tender.

A place for meetings and local initiatives

The Community Activity Centre will be an open space for residents, non-governmental organisations, senior citizens and people in need of support. It will include, among other things, spaces for meetings and activities, a multi-purpose hall, a senior citizens’ club, rooms for recreation and physical activity, as well as a rental service for rehabilitation, care and assistive equipment.

The new building will be constructed next to the Kaczkowski Palace and will be connected to the palace building by a dedicated enclosed passageway. The Centre is intended not only to provide suitable infrastructure, but above all to create conditions for the development of civic engagement, intergenerational integration and cooperation between residents, social organisations and the local government.

A centre of community life

The establishment of the Community Activity Centre is one of the activities carried out under the project “Our Krosno – Green, Entreprising and Co-managed with Residents”. The building is intended to become a place bringing together residents of different ages, supporting the development of local initiatives and facilitating cooperation between non-governmental organisations.

It will provide a space for meetings, exchange of experiences and the implementation of activities responding to the real needs of the local community.

The investment will be financed with funds from the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme and the state budget. According to the project assumptions, construction works are expected to be completed within 11 months from the date of signing the contract with the contractor.
