The City Mayor nominated the Krosno Business Council

Nineteen representatives of entrepreneurs and the business environment have been nominated by Mayor Piotr Przytocki to the Krosno Business Council. The Council inaugurated its activities yesterday (December 20).

The Krosno Business Council is a social advisory body, and the purpose of its establishment is to develop cooperation between the local government and entrepreneurs, to better adapt the offer of public services to their needs, as well as to increase business involvement in local issues relevant to the development of entrepreneurship in the city. An open call for candidates was conducted in November this year.

- Members of the Council represent a broad cross-section of sectors important to the city's development - automotive, aviation, glass production, oil and gas, plastics, IT, hotel, catering, construction, real estate development, energy, crafts, science, educational and educational services, and business services, including legal and tax services, emphasizes Mayor Piotr Przytocki. - I count on the Council's participation in working out solutions to develop entrepreneurship, integrate the environment, and promote Krosno as a city attractive for living, doing business and investing, the Mayor adds.

During the inaugural session, members received certificates of their nomination to the Krosno Business Council.

During the working part of the meeting, the Council worked on the Entrepreneurship Development Program of the City of Krosno for 2023-2030, which is being developed within the framework of a project financed entirely by the Technical Assistance Program. The workshop was led by representatives of the contractor of the study - the Association for Support of Economic Initiatives "Delta Partner".

Participants:

  • reviewed the results of a survey conducted among students of the Carpathian State University and students in the final grades of Krosno high schools, which aimed to gather opinions on the local education sector's offerings, information on future plans and entrepreneurship issues,
  • worked on a SWOT analysis, i.e. identifying the strengths and weaknesses of Krosno, as well as opportunities and threats in relation to the economic sphere,
  • - established a hierarchy of goals and courses of action within the framework of the Enterprise Development Program,
  • worked out concepts for selected project proposals,
  • got acquainted with the "Made in Krosno" initiative, submitted by the Entrepreneurial Union Association, as an element of promoting local companies and building economic patriotism based on the "Made in Krosno" certificate.

- The first meeting of the Krosno Business Council was very fruitful, assesses Dr. Tomasz Soliński, deputy mayor. - There are more to come, and there are many topics to work through with entrepreneurs. We will focus primarily on those submitted by the Council members themselves. Dominant among them are issues such as shaping the educational offer in accordance with the needs of entrepreneurs, developing cooperation with educational institutions, economic information on issues relating to education, apprenticeships, educational programs, informing young residents about the possibilities of finding good, attractive work in Krosno companies (joint portfolio), encouraging young people to live and work in Krosno, developing housing resources, promoting Krosno as a city with prospects for young people, the deputy mayor informs.

The next session is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.

The establishment of the Krosno Business Council is an element of the Institutional Development Plan of the City of Krosno, implemented as a part of the project ‘We create + We Develop + We Activate + We Motivate + We Determine + We Change = KROSNO”. The project received funding from the Norwegian Funds and the state budget.

 


The project „We create+ We develop+ We activate+ We motivate+ We determine+ We change= KROSNO” implemented as a part of the Local Development Programme, co-financed in 85 % from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and in 15 % from the State Budget.

The amount of funding received is 15,328,498.86 PLN. The beneficiary/lead partner is the Municipality of Krosno. The aim of the project is to comprehensively improve the quality of life in Krosno and better adapt Krosno's administration to the needs of its residents.
