On the last day of August, a meeting was held, attended by eager residents of the Polanka district, expressing their opinions on the development of the green area located in the old settlement.
As a part of the community organizing, together with trainers from the Center for Strategic Counseling, the local community that came to the meeting managed to outline a common vision as to the appearance and functionality of the Radosna Polanka area. Representatives of different age groups were present at the workshop. During the workshop it was possible not only to hear opinions of young people, people 30+, 40+, 50+ and seniors, but also to create their coherent idea of the future of the green area.
The workshop report showed that the space should be open, without any fence, with natural light, with peace buffer, divided into zones of which general look and equipment should be adjusted to various age groups, i.e. toddlers, teenagers, adults and seniors.
Residents also established a list of preferences for site equipment. The so-called TOP 5 for the Radosna Polanka area, where 1 means priority:
- Playground
- Benches and tables
- Arbour
- Open-air gym
- Barbecue venue
