Learning coding and programming has become a daily occurrence in Krosno kindergartens. Already three-year-olds are developing their creativity, logical thinking, analytical and algorithmic skills, using newly purchased advanced teaching aids. We are bringing the youngest residents closer to working in the professions of the future - to this end, programming robots and coding learning mats have been delivered to each kindergarten. The equipment was purchased with Norwegian Funds.
The aids, which were donated to 52 preschool departments, are used in daily educational activities aimed at bringing children closer to the working environment. Educational robots and coding mats are tailored to different age groups.
As the teachers emphasize, the children are very eager to participate in the activities and use the new aids. They learn about the world of modern technology through fun and entertainment. All children who attend public kindergartens have the opportunity to program robots on a daily basis, learn coding, and even become familiar with the English language while working with a robot.
The task of vocational preorientation at the stage of preschool education is to familiarize children with selected professions, stimulate and develop their interests and talents, and stimulate pro-vocational dreams.
For a total amount of more than 73,000 PLN, 128 pieces of equipment were purchased. This is part of the project titled "Effective career planning as an increase in labor market opportunities", implemented under the project titled "We Create + We Develop + We Activate+ We Motivate + We Determine + We change = Krosno", co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 2021 and the state budget.
A number of initiatives to develop career counselling for elementary and secondary school students, including: training of teaching staff in career counselling, counselling workshops for students, as well as the organization of educational picnics, science and technology festivals, meetings with entrepreneurs, and a social campaign to promote education in technical professions needed in the local labour market, has been also planned.
The project „We create+ We develop+ We activate+ We motivate+ We determine+ We change= KROSNO” implemented as a part of the Local Development Programme, co-financed in 85 % from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and in 15 % from the State Budget.
