We are launching another project under the ‘We Create+ We Develop+ We Activate+ We Motivate+ We Determine+ We Change = KROSNO’ project. The city is looking for a contractor for the investment titled "Development of the square in Chopina Street in Krosno as a sensory park".

The investment will consist of construction works related to land development in the surroundings of the F. Chopin allotment garden in Krosno. Tree plantings will be made on the side of Chopina Street, walking and bicycle/walking paths will be laid out, seating and planting of ornamental plants. Residents will also be able to use a barbecue gazebo, a barbecue stand with pergolas, stone seats and garden benches. Wooden platforms, trellises and raised planting beds will complete the whole project.

According to the development project, the area will serve various functions, i.e. leisure, recreation and rehabilitation. The rehabilitation function is primarily hortiterapy - part of the park will be created in the form of a sensory garden for people with disabilities. Hortiterapy is used as an adjunct to other forms of treatment for various types of diseases and disorders. The essence of hortiterapy is to influence the patient's mental, physical and intellectual condition with the help of plants, or, more precisely, with the help of the garden and gardening work. Rehabilitation in this form is primarily the use of the senses of sight, hearing and smell, involving observation of plants, listening to the sounds of nature, learning the smells of the garden.

The project „We create+ We develop+ We activate+ We motivate+ We determine+ We change= KROSNO” implemented as a part of the Local Development Programme, co-financed in 85 % from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and in 15 % from the State Budget.

The amount of funding received is 15,328,498.86 PLN. The beneficiary/lead partner is the Municipality of Krosno.
The aim of the project is to comprehensively improve the quality of life in Krosno
and better adapt Krosno's administration to the needs of its residents.
