Planned events organized by the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Krosno as a part of the venture entitled “Gain experience and skills with KPU in Krosno" in the project “We create+We develop+We Activate+We motivate+ We determine+We change=KROSNO” in 2024.

As a part of the venture entitled “Gain experience and skills with KPU in Krosno”, the university authorities planned the following events:

1. “Krosno e-sport tournament for the cup of the PANS President in Krosno LEAGUE OF LEGENDS” (e-sport competition). PANS students (of the IT faculty and Student Scientific Clubs: Neo Students and Media Students) are now arranging another edition of the tournament. This is the tournament for five-member teams, who will participate in the game League of Legends with a prize of approx. 6,000 PLN.

The tournament is going to be held according to the following agenda:
January 23rd - February 2nd - registration
February 2nd - the Tournament Opening on ZOOM
February 12th - February 20th - Remote prelims
February 23rd - Knockout stage - on-site stage (Wyspiańskiego 20, 38-400 Krosno - the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Krosno).

2. Energy Olympiad - February 15th 2024, PANS in Krosno, Dmochowskiego 12.
The Olympiad for students of the Krosno high schools will be held on February 15th 2024 at the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Krosno, Dmochowskiego 12 in the hall no. 2 (Krosno).
The Olympiad, in the form of a test, will cover issues at the high school level in the field of energy, including renewable energy sources, mechanics, and issues in technology in the broadest sense. Attractive prizes in the form of vouchers were provided for the first five places.
During the Olympiad the Participants will be offered refreshments and a scientific lecture on energy-related topics.

3. ESCAPE ROOMS “A Mysterious Maze” - Escape Room Competition - February 16th 2024, PANS in Krosno, Dmochowskiego 12.
As a part of the venture entitled “Gain experience and skills with KPU in Krosno”, the competition entitled “Escape Rooms - Secrets of the universe” is going to be held. The competition is for students of the Krosno high schools.

It will be held on February 16th 2024 at the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Krosno, Dmochowskiego 12 (Krosno). The competition is for students of the Krosno high schools.

The objectives of the Competition are:
● developing the skill of logical thinking,
● developing the skill of working in a team,
● stimulating intelligence, speed of action and artifice,
● promoting technical knowledge among the youth.
The competition will cover issues from the following scientific disciplines: Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, IT.

The competition is going to be held in 7 theme rooms:
● Construction
● Automatics&Robotics
● Energetics
● Environmental engineering
● IT
● Management
● Mechanics and Machine Construction

During the ESCAPE ROOMS competition the Participants will be offered refreshments.

4. COMPETITION FOR FUTURE ENGINEERS entitled “THE ENGINEER OF THE 21ST CENTURY- February 21st, 2024, PANS in Krosno, Dmochowskiego 12.
As a part of the venture entitled “Gain experience and skills with KPU in Krosno”, the competition entitled “THE ENGINEER OF THE 21ST CENTURY” for FUTURE ENGINEERS is going to be held.
The competition will cover issues at the level of engineering studies from the following disciplines: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, IT and additional inquiries in the wide scope of technics and history of inventions as well as modern achievements in the discipline.

Attractive prizes in the form of electronic equipment were provided for the first three places. During the competition the Participants will be offered refreshments.

The project entitled “We create+We develop+We Activate+We motivate+We determine+We change=KROSNO” implemented as a part of the Local Development Program, co-financed from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and from the State Budget.
“Together we work for a green, competitive and inclusive Europe”.

The amount of funding received is 15,328,498.86 PLN. Beneficiary / Leading Partner is the city of Krosno. The goal of the project is to improve quality of life in Krosno and to provide better adjustment of the Krosno administrative bodies to the needs of its inhabitants.
