The event is a final summary of actions taken in the scope of the venture “Community Organizing in Krosno” that was implemented by the Kogel Mogel Association using Norwegian funds, as a part of the Local Development Program, in the project “We create+We develop+We Activate+We motivate + We determine + We change =KROSNO” implemented by the city of Krosno.

The mission of the project was to improve the influence of residents in their small communities by increasing the sense of the impact they have on their immediate surroundings by acting together.

Community organizing was performed through the implementation of the OS cycle (following the British model), specifically: the action phase of reaching out, listening, connecting, and the facilitation phase of organizing, leadership, strategy, action and change.

The result of months of work by the three Krosno organizers are the initiatives developed jointly with residents, which Anna, Damian and Marcin, will talk about during the meeting, inviting guests to see a photo exhibition documenting the said activities, i.e.:

1. Application “The school will change and there will be a lot of green space around it” The development of outdoor areas around the MZS building no. 3, which has become a key project in the Strategy for the Development of the City of Krosno for 2023-2030, has been qualified to compete in the Participatory Budget of Krosno and, given the number of votes received in 2023, has a good chance in applying for these funds in future years.
2. “Radosna Polanka” Application. Development of urban green areas at the housing estate on Popiełuszki Street in Krosno, which has become a key project in the Strategy for Development of the City of Krosno for 2023-2030.
3. The event entitled “We are all blue” which aimed to increase awareness about autism.
4. The event was organized on the occasion of World Creativity and Innovation Day. The main theme of the event was creativity and ingenuity.
5. Children’s Day at Radosna Polanka.
6. 1st Neighborhood Festival - Kolejowa Street Celebration.
7. Filmmaking workshops in Polanka district.
8. Urban planning workshop in Polanka district.
9. Eco, healthy, and cinematic. Farewell to summer at Radosna Polanka.
10. An appeal submitted to the Participatory Budget Council due to the rejected application I. Eco-Playground at Radosna Polanka - development of green areas at 105 Popiełuszki Street in Krosno. II. Improvement of security of inhabitants.
11. The implementation of these grassroots initiatives is the basis for a gradual increase in the involvement of Krosno residents, not only in issues directly related to the immediate neighborhood, but ultimately also more broadly (on a city-wide scale), laying the groundwork for the actual development of civil society activity.

The event is a part of the project entitled “We create+We develop+We Activate+We motivate + We determine + We change =KROSNO” implemented as a part of the Local Development Program, co-financed in 85 % from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and in 15 % from the State Budget.

The amount of funding received is 17,365,786.37 PLN. Municipality and City of Krosno is a beneficiary of the project. The goal of the project is to improve quality of life in Krosno and to provide better adjustment of the Krosno administrative bodies to the needs of its inhabitants.
