On 8th March 2024, at the Technical&Sports Campus of the State Academy of Applied Science in Krosno, the 11th Job Fair, Industry Seminar entitled Closed-loop Economy and Academic Day of Science were held.
The fair is a part of the project “We create+We develop+We Activate+We motivate + We determine + We change =KROSNO” implemented as a part of the Local Development Program, co-financed in 85 % from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and in 15 % from the State Budget.
It was organized by the PANS Incubator Technology Center in Krosno and it was held under the honorary patronage of the PANS President, dr hab. Zbigniew Barabasz, Professor of PANS, and the Mayor of Krosno, Piotr Przytocki.
This year's event brought together 46 exhibitors and a record number of participants, estimated at more than 2,000 people, including graduates, students of PANS in Krosno, high school students and job seekers.
The fair hosted both domestic and foreign employers, including the largest companies in our region. Exhibitors represented the electronics, IT, financial, industrial, manufacturing, food service, furniture, insurance, automotive, metal, health care and many other industries.
Participants had an opportunity to submit their resumes on the chosen stands, to get familiar with the current job offers, practices and internships, to make the first contact with possible employers and to learn about the requirements for the candidates.
Workshops and training, conducted by specialists and labor market experts, proved to be a strong point of the Job Fair. Mr. Wojciech Woś, a EURES advisor from the Voivodeship Labour Office in Rzeszów talked about security on the European Labour Market, and Ms. Joanna Kwolek, HR Manager of FIXIT S.A. carried out a training entitled “A Guide - How to get your first job?”. We couldn’t miss topics related to the support for young people, which was discussed by Ms. Kinga Pyra, a professional advisor of the Centre of Information and Professional Career Planning.
The Academy, in order to meet the needs of entrepreneurs, organized an industry seminar entitled “Closed-loop Economy - a choice or a requirement?”. This is a cyclical event, which this year was sponsored by Krosno Municipal Holding, and the seminar's partners were representatives of companies: Nowy Styl, FIXIT S. A., Grupa Azoty S. A. and the University in Loughborough in UK.
The topic of the seminar concerned closed-loop economy solutions introduced in selected companies in Podkarpackie and Małopolska. The closed-loop economy is one of the European Commission's economic policy priorities.
During the seminar, lectures were given by: Janusz Fic - Mator of the Municipal Enterprise of the Krosno Municipal Holding in Krosno, Zdzisław Syzdek - Member of the Board of the Municipal Enterprise of the Krosno Municipal Holding in Krosno, Paweł Mikołajczyk - Sustainable Experience Strategist, FIXIT S.A., Adrianna Kobylak - Management Systems Specialist, Nowy Styl, Jacek Moskal - Head of the Process and Technology Development Department within the Research and Development Center, dr Tomasz Węsierski - Director of the Implementation Center of Grupa Azoty S.A., nż. Łukasz Padło - an employee of Grupa Azoty S.A and a student of Environmental Engineering at PANS in Krosno and dr inż. Paweł Nycz - researcher at Loughborough University, Department of Renewable Energy Systems and Technologies (CREST), graduate of the Environmental Engineering Department of the Krosno State University.
In the field of environmental engineering, students can choose the specialty “closed-loop economy”, which has been offered since 2017, and from 2021 is seen as a dual degree program together with Krosno Municipal Holding.
The seminar was attended by representatives of companies, directors, teachers, high school students, students and graduates of the University.

The amount of funding received is 15,328,498.86 PLN. The Beneficiary / Leading Partner is the Municipality of Krosno City. The goal of the project is to improve quality of life in Krosno and to provide better adjustment of the Krosno administrative bodies to the needs of its inhabitants.
